This outcome is one of the results of our project. It is a Strategic report for effective risk communication in environment and health that is to serve as a guidance document for efficient communication between science, policy and stakeholders. It builds on earlier work carried out by the World Health Organisation published in 2013.
Key challenges and good practices in science to stakeholder communication are identified, and a review of the latest trends, theories and concepts of risk communication for environment and health are provided to the reader. The report also contains description of three case studies: promoting indoor air quality in schools in Hungary, water contamination in the Veneto region, Italy, and heat health action in the Styria province, Austria.
