HERA Project's Final Conference

The Final Conference of the H2020 European-funded-project HERA took place in Paris the 18th March 2022 under the patronage of the French Presidency of Europe!

The event was the occasion to introduce the use of the Agenda by the European Commission and to present the deliverable and how it fits in the Green Deal.

About 130 individuals participated virtually and in person constituting an audience of majoritarily scientists, but also policy makers and national health organisations. Various HERA work package leaders and partners successfully presented several research goals, introduced by the coordinators Robert Barouki and Manolis Kogevinas. The foreword was given by Thomas Lombès, Strategy director of INSERM, Bertrand Schwartz, Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l’Innovation, Carmen La Plaza, Health Innovations and Ecosystems, DG-RTD European Commission and Francesca Racioppi, Head of Office, WHO Regional Office for Europe, European Centre for Environment and Health.

The Conference was kindly chaired by our Internation Advisor Board: Paolo Vineis, Imperial College London, Linda Birnbaum, former director of the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences, as well as the National Toxicology Program, Francine Laden, Harvard Medical School and the Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
